Parts "cars" for sale

This weekend I found three Model A's and a '34 Chevrolet in what would be considered VERY rough condition.

1)A '29 Tudor which had a rolling chassis minus engine, rear fenders, hood and radiator/shell missing.Front fenders rough but could be salvaged with lots of work.Headlight bar and shells intact even one lens.

2)A '28 Leatherback Fordor in really sad shape. Most of the body is gone except for the cowl and the rear lower body. (This was the only clue to it being a Leatherback.)It has the smooth '28/'29 cowl/gas tank.No cowl light holes. It had all the running gear including an engine with a *A408XXX* number, square starter switch and solid front crossmember/motor mount. The rear portion of the front seat was also in pretty much one piece. The piece de resistance was the Kari-Kleen Luggage Carrier on the rear! All the brackets were there but may have been slightly bent. There were also fenders in place, but again they were very bent and broken.

3) A '30/31 Tudor body and frame only. This was the least car there but the body was in the best shape with no "rust through" that I could see right off. Some body work had been started at one time evidenced by some putty in a few places. But no rust out in the cowl, lower doors or quarter panels and no putty in these areas either.

4) For the Bow Tie crowd:A '34 Coach (2 door) with all the body there, complete running gear and most of the wood in some shape or form.Hood was in the passenger compartment.Seat springs were missing. All the riser and latch mechanisms were in place.A pretty much complete car and well worth saving.

These are located on Texas Highway 21 just north of Bryan, Texas, about 3 miles from Highway 6, on the north side of the road at an insulation company.

I will have photos developed by Friday and can send those if you want to see them. The guy bought the "rust buckets" to sell and he did not price anything but was open to offers. I have his name and phone number and will send via e-mail to anyone interested.

I've got all the "projects" I can handle, but there are some salvagable pieces here that need a home.Let me know if you're interested.

John
