you might want to check into some of the books mentioned in the novice jitters thread below.some of the differences are minor (hood corner pads, shell lacings, carb differences) others are more obvious.. (1929 vs 1928) 'floating' front motor mount vs. mounted to the front cross member, single piece brake cross shaft vs split, teacup tighlight vs drum and probably a thousand more.the date the body was set on the frame, as said before, is stamped in the fire wall on the drivers side just above the split between the gas tank and lower fire wall.if you plan on showing or want to make an authentic as possible restoration, pick up a copy of the marc/mafca judging standards for sure.mechanics handbook will give you more of the 'how to'.

before you get to far into the dissassembly, take lots of pictures, trying to remember the order of assembly several months or years from now won't be easy...
