Engine RPM

What kind of RPM does a Model "A" engine run at?Specificallyat idle and at highway speeds (45-50 MPH). The reason I ask is that I am rebuilding my generator and I need to tell the guy at the auto electric shop what to set his test bench at.Thanks for any help.
