Yes Bob, I had the same question a bit ago.The elderly fellow I bought my beloved basket case from said it was a '28.But after several visits to this fine site, and other conversations with seasoned pros, I discovered the differences.One, for example, is that the running board supports are cast for one year, and stamped steel for the other.Essentially however, I was told to check the taillight.If it bolts to the left rear of the body, it's a '28.If it bolts to the fender, it's a '29.Finally, a helpful chap from this site confirmed, from the engine number, that the date of manufactre was in April 1929.Hope this helps! |
