: I just purchased my first Model A (1930 Tudor Sedan). After showing the A to a friend of mine, he advised me to replace the glass. He states you have old plate glass that could kill in a bad accident. My friend also owns a Model A Tudor and has hands on experience.I believe it is a very good idea because my car is a solid driver. As a new ModelA owner I am open to any advice, much to learn. : Thanks Everyone, How can you verify that your windshield is in fact "safety glass"?I have a 30 Tudor (Canadian) that had sat in a barn since 1953.The windshield doesn't have any logo on it.It is my understanding that although my tudor probably came from the factory with safety glass, they sometimes would replace a broken windshield with the cheaper plate glass as it was legal to do so in the 30's.I have replaced all the other glass with safety glass but I have always wondered about the windshield. |
