Fred...do not use repo adjustable tappets,the bases are too small,they are only about 1"dia.compared to stock A and B tappet had an even larger base.A B cam or performance grind will chew up repo lifters and destroy a cam.The original and repo OHV kits used stock lifter with an adapter that sat on top.Make sure the adapter clears the lifter bosses.You could eliminate the adapter and use a ballnose endmill to machine the lifter top.I understand the original rockers were Buick.I once replaced a rocker shaft with a Buick shaft.I have heard that MGB rockers might work.You could spray weld the original rocker tips and regrind.I use a Mallory ignition with a Pertronix Ignitor installed and it works great.Ted
