Actually - purists appreciate the opportunity to be infuriated occasionally, so no harm done.Just keeps 'em in practice.
I'm assuming that you know the internal hookup of your relay - most three terminal jobbies I've seen have fed the battery to both the coil and the moving contact and expect a grounding horn button with no connection to the case or mounting bracket, however, if yours is different so be it.When I mounted such things in my other "A"s I bolted them right to the firewall. My horn relay was right next to my voltage regulator above the steering column and the fuse bank.
