I put modern shocks on my A. I went to the local department store found some shocks on sale that had the right travel, welded up some brackets from 3\8" steel and put them on. The only hole I had to drill was in the upper rear crossmenber. The whole project cost about $55.00. Let me know if you need some help and more details.
