Erickson overdrive

Has anyone first hand experience with the Mitchell overdrive unit. With the pressure to go faster these days on the highways this mechanical unit seems to be the answer?
Is it as easy as it looks to install? Does it run quietly? I am thinking about this for my coupe when I go off island I can't keep up with out pushing the ccar beyond what I feel is comfortable. Thanks for any help. Ed ROmer
