John

Minor point here. But AR generally refers to cars with left hand emergency brake. The cut off is between engine numbers 155,000 to 177,500, built through mid-June. The Model A was introduced without a separate emergency brake system. The regular service brakes were used. Some states objected to this so Ford added a separate emergency brake system. The changeover started in March for these states and was not complete until mid-June. As usual comercial vehicles ended up with the left over parts and may have the "AR" brakes through early 1929.
