Door Dovetails S/W sedans

I've noticed that Bratton's et al sell a dovetail assembly with inserts that bolts to the door post for '31 S/W fordors.On mine the dovetail structure is integral with the door post, and only the zinc inserts and springs are removable. Is this a variation, or typical of the species?? Inquiring minds want to know- Bob Carabbio
