: Are there thermostats available at my local auto parts store that will fit my 1929 "A".If so, does anybody have parts numbers?

G'Day Merv,
There are two types of thermostat available from suppliers of Model A parts such as Snyder's, Brattons, Mikes, Mac's etc. One installs in the top of the radiator hose & is welded to piece of pipe #A8270BR & the other has a few tabs welded to it & ,fits in the water outlet on the head with the tabs under the hose #A8270. From what I've seen the closest to an off the shelf thermostat you could find would be the one fitted to the old Peugeot 404, but the diameter's a bit large.
