: Steve Bonham's post regarding the site of the San Francisco (Richmond) assembly plant got me to thinking (I realize that is probably dangerous). How many of the assembly plants that were used for Model A production still exist?Few, if any, are probably still Ford sites but it would be interesting to know where these are for side trips when you were in the area.
: I know there is an old Model T plant just off of I-30 on the east side of downtown Dallas (known as the Adam's Hat building, it has a water tower on the roof that used to say "Adam's Hats") and I suppose the Grand Avenue plant southeast (?) of downtown was the Dallas Model A assembly site since it was used up thru the seventies or late sixties (time passes). Maybe this could be added to the data base of assembly plants....just a thought...
: How about it, anyone know where their local plant was located?
