Flower vase

I have a beveled glass flower or bud vase and metal holder that I believe is an accessory for my 1930 Deluxe Coupe.I am under the impresion that the vase should be attached to the door post on the passanger side, between the door and quarter panel window.Can anyone tell me the history of these vases... were they factory supplied, after-market accessories for flower lovers, etc?Also,is this the correct place to mount it? The mount has two screw holes, in vertical alignment, that would easily screw into the wood in the frame.Finally, how high on the post does it go?Thanks, all.
