Your mirror should have come with a pin which is actually a bolt- it should have a lockwasher and nut for the bottom, not tapered!I mounted one on my Fordor, and the bolt fit the stock 1/4" hole fine, however I had to grind a lot of the mirror bracket casting so it would't rub on the hinge.Modification of repro parts is part of Model Aing, I'me afraid!
Good luck

: I bought a Vintiques mirror that mounts through the upper hinge pin on the driver's door. The tapered pin that comes with the mirror is too wide to fit the existing hole.I asked the supplier what I should do and was told to ream out the hole.I don't think so!Any suggestions?I would like to mount the mirror and possibly get one for the passenger side as well if I can solve this problem.
