Dean,

That outer edge is a continuation of the apron and running board surface without any seam. I don't know of anyone that makes a patch for that. You may be able to find a junk apron/running board and cut the section out that you need. A good sheet metal welder can section it well. Be sure that what you find is not rusted out where the outer edge rolls under and up to the top (it's common).

All the reproduction 1930 style I have seen are made of separate running board and apron, and fit very poor. So, I certainly recommend you repair your's or replace with another original.

Good Luck

: Hello,

: I have a early 30 coupe that has the two piece splash shields. My passenger side running board is perfect with the exception of the outer edge. Part of the edge is missing. This is the edge that the zinc molding goes over! Can this piece be purchased? and where? Hate to have to buy a complete running board set for this little piece! My other running board is perfect.

: Thanks

: Dean Travis
