Thanks for the info on the Richmond plant. I've lived in the East Bay most of my life and never know there was ever a Ford plant in Richmond. I will check it out this week, while the freeways are a little less crowded.

: : If someone were interested enough to go to see the old Assembly plant in Richmond Ca. (San Francisco), You should know that the first Model A to roll off that assy.line is on display at the Richmond Museum. The Model A was given to the city of Richmond in a ceremony upon it's completion at the plant. The city turned it over to the maintainance supervisor, who removed the trunk, and made a pick-up bed out of planks of wood (It is a roadster).
: The museum is located at 4th st. and Nevin. From SF: Hwy 80 east to 580 west. Take Harbour Blvd exit. Harbour blvd. north to MacDonald blvd. Left on MacDonald blvd. Go six blocks to Forth, turn right, go one block to Nevin, you're there!
