Well, I work as a construction project manager for a company that designs and installs auto body paint booths and ovens in auto assembly plants. Over the years, I have been in a lot of Ford assembly plants, and know a few people in the Vehicle Assembly Division. If anyone is interested, I will inquire at Ford to see if they can tell me. I believe that they used to build Fordson tractors at the St. Louis Assembly Plant. Also, some of the Rouge complex still looks like it must have when it was built (except a little worse for wear). I am always amazed when I get into one of the old power plants in some of those factories. Even though they are often in disarray, with pipe insulation hanging loose and obsolete pumps and other equipment sitting idle, you can still imagine the majesty of these installations, and you can imagine what Henry Ford would do if he could return and see it like it is today.
