: : Jim,
: : A member of my club (Model A Restorer's Club (Australia)) is in the process of restoring a '29 Business Coupe, the body having been imported from the USA. We cannot help with the braces you are searching for, as he is in the same position, and was resolved to having to make them from what drawings/photographs etc he can get hold of. Even a pattern or detailed sketch would be welcomed. So we will be watching responses to your enquiry with interest!
: :One other item you or others out there may be able to assist with is the oval windows and frames - where might we get some?? Thanks in anticipation.
: : Regards,
: : Bob McDonald

: Bob,
: I don't know of any oval windows or frames available.I was able to find mine by contacting people with '29 Business Coupes and letting them know I was looking.I can tell you that the frames measure 9" by 14" (outside) with 12 #5 screws in the inside piece. They are two piece construction similar to the rear window frames.Replacement screws are available from Sacramento Vintage Ford - part number 1173-6 (16 pieces).
: Good luck,
: Jim

-------I am currently driving/restoring my '29 Bussiness Coupe and was fortunate enough to have purchased a car with a complete top. That is all of the brackets but very little wood left and no upholstery.I could supply patterns, if you have wood patterns maybe we could trade.call at (818) 996-7326 'A' Boy in L.A.
