Making a transmission swap "reversable" is tough.Putting an Automatic transmission of ANY type in a Model A will be tough and expensive.

How about an alternative?Look for a Shay Reproduction Model A for her. They came with Ford Pinto drivetrains (including automatic transmissions.)Most are Roadsters, but there's a guy on this message board selling a Roadster Pickup too.

I've seen some of these Shays fixed up with real Model A accessories (headlights, horns, tail lights) and then repainted nicely, and if you don't look real close, they look like a Model A.They drive well, get good mileage, have radio and heaters, and can be repaired by any Ford mechanics.

If you're not a stickler for authenticity, you may want to give this a thought.
