Window Cranks

I don't know if there is an "official" way to mount the cranks, but it's been my experience that you want to mount them so that the weight of the handle will tend to push the window UP and not DOWN.So, if you crank your windows clockwise to roll them up, position the cranks about "2 o'clock" so that their weight will tend to crank them UP.

If you crank counter-clockwise to move the windows UP, mount them in the 10 o'clock position.

The other thing I do for the front doors is to make sure that when the cranks are mounted with the windows in the UP position that they're out of the way of my knees when I'm sitting in the seat! It get's REAL uncomfortable on a trip when you can't rest your knees on the door panel because a window crank is in the way!
