I understand the situation..... a friend of mine used a mid to late 30's Ford transmission in his Vicky..... If you can get the right Transmission it is sycromesh like a modern one.... It required an adaptor as the bellhousing"Ansen" used to make one and someone in California is remaking them as I understand it...... It still looks stock from the Interior etc.... someone else may be able to give more info on this adaptation......
