Engine questions

I acquired a model A engine, complete, a while back.In looking it over, it has no serial no..The water pump is well used.The fan is a four blade, riveted to the hub, but the pitch on the fan is for a engine that rotates counter clockwise when viewed from the front.When running in the normal manner, the air flow would be from the engine thru the radiator towards the front of the car.Anybody have any ideas?
