Gordon-
I have flow tested jets and adjusted the flow by soldering them closed with lead solder, then drilling with small numbered drills.I mount the jet in the drill chuck of my drill press, then hold the drill in a hand chuck an drill out by spinning the jet and carefully drilling by hand.I have had no problem doing it this way. If there is a slight "dimple" in the lead filling the orifice, it makes centering the drill easier.Test it again after drilling - the recommended orifices often do not give the correct flows.
