When I first brought home my infamous AA I used a tow dolly.The AA front tires sat on the tire saddles (for lack of a better term to call them).I had to add some chain to allow the cinch straps to reach over the tires, otherwise had no problems.The dolly I used had steerable tires so it helped to relieve any undue stress to the AA.Also with the AA's low gearing I kept the speed down to under 20mph on the way home, which made for a long 40 mile drive.

Depends on how far you're going with it, why you're towing it, and how fast you want to go while towing.For long distance I'd say a trailer is best.Second best would be to drive the model A and leave the tow car at home if possible.
