part identification

recieved some boxes of ford parts,mainly a&t parts,in the parts there is a part we cannot identify,it looks to be in the 30s or newer,it looks like a cover from a dist or generator,is aluminum and has"fred jones" oklahoma city cast into it in ford type script,does any of your subscribers remember this company.thank you
