I have two metal lathes, a newer one that I use to make some Model A parts. The other is a VERY old one, and I was wondering if anyone out there knows something about the value of old machinery, or knows someone who does. The lathe was sold by Sears, and is called "Companion Metal-Working Model Maker's Lathe".I would guess the machine was made in the 30s.I have the original Owner's Manual. As an example of the age, there is a parts list in the Manual. For example, the repacement cross slide sold for 65 cents, and the cast iron lathe bed sold for $4.00! Larry Jenkins |
