Fred-
All Town Sedans had a robe cord on the back of the front seat. It measures 33 1/2" in length and looks like a twisted rope with a slight sheen. Color was coppery-brown for brown interior.The original has a tight coil spring core down the center.
The brackets are 2 1/8" long cups that cover the ends of the cord and are held by two screws that go through the cup and the cord.
Correct ones are obvious as the shape is the "scroll" design matching the inside handles & escutcheons.
