Bob,

I had a similar experience with my Cabriolet. I was originally painted Bronson Yellow and Seal Brown.I have seen colors from pale yellow to golden yellow. The book that you mentioned had a paint chip that was a golden yellow, similar to the yellow used on a pencil. The original paint on my car was a truer yellow with a hint of green, somewhat like the yellow of post-its.I think there are two problems here.First many of the paint formulas have been converted over the years from one paint brand to another. Each time the color is converted the match can be off a little. This can lead to different colors by different paint manufacturers. Also I believe that the colors that Ford used when the Model As were originally painted could vary from batch to batch and from plant to plant. This would be more noticible on the brighter colors.I think the best way to match the color is to find a car with some of the original paint and have the paint made to match. Is there anyone out there who had/has a car with original Kewanee and Elkpoint Green ?

Bob
