Yea but they make outstanding paperweights don't you think? Also boat anchors, plant one in the ground under a citrus tree and it will never want for iron, also good for chucking at the neighbor when he starts the lawn mower just as you begin to shoot the final color on a door.
Kidding aside there is a fellow in Denver who rebuilds shocks, a friend is waiting delivery on some he sent for rebuild. Price is right and if quality is good.... I will report here when Ray gets his back.
A friend who in the past restored cars professionally says most shocks can be rebuilt to some degree... if you can get them open. According to him most people give up long before the nut is cracked so to speak. I have two soaking in the parts washer, have been there for two weeks. think I'll tackle them today....

: Hi Folks, Would like to locate a set of working shocks vintage early 30 that someone would like to sell.I have purchased too many paperweights and only have been able to salvage four good shock arms.If I'm unable to locate original shocks I'll have to purchase reproductions.Does anyone have 1st hand knowledge on the quality of these.Also there are rebuilt shocks advertised,any suggestions.
