Most Oil Cans were found on Model T's.I guess if you wanted to mount one on a Model A firewall (yikes, think the purists) you could put it between the coil and the gas line on the right side.
I don't think that there's any "right" place on a Model A. If you're car's going to be a "driver" and not a show car, put it where it works best.IMHO, of course :)
