Ray,

There can only be an estimate since many of the cars have not been registered for many years. I have heard numbers as low as 50,000 and as high as 500,000.If you count up the cars just from the members of the two national clubs you can account for at least 25,000 (many members have more than one car). Some people will use the number of Model As of a certain body style that still are around to calculate the total. For example there are aprox 500 members of the Cabriolet club and there were aprox 60,000 cabriolets made. So 0.833 percent are left. Since there where around 5 million Model As made 0.833% of 5 million is aprox 40,000.The unkowns are how many Cabriolet owners are not in the club and is the Cabriolet representitive of all Model As.A conservative estimate would be 50% of the Cabriolet owners are in the club giving a total of 80,000 model As.One could use all kinds of ways to estimate the total but it would only be a guess.

What I am saying here is any estimate would be a guess. So my guess would be around 100,000 (others will say this is low).

Bob
