I have a 1930 45b coupe delux and have rebuilt the trany, but before I put it back in the car I want to find out more about U Joints. I understand there are two types the early one that is rivited together and a late one that is forged and the bearings are clipped in. The rivited one seems to be tight but has a lot of lateral slop (about 1/16th of an inch in all four lateral planes). I'm concerned that, that might not be normal??? any clues out there?? |
