: This will probably horrify all you purists but,... does anyone know if it is possible to convert the Model A hydraulic brakes. Better still, has anyone out there actually done this and how did you do it?

Hi Grant
I am new to this web thing. I have a 1930 Model A . I
restored with Hydraulic brakes . I found the information in
( MODEL AFORD RESTORATION HANDBOOK )
By GORDON E. HOPPERCopywrite May 1966
I made a few changes to the back brakes , I switched
sides and put the wheel cyl,. to the bottom . I did' t cut the
backing plate as in book. I also installed a HYD. vacuum
booster . that mounts under the car to a cross rail . It's called a HYDROVAC .
I have the car 10years with very good stoping
Good Luck
