Hi.I also have a '31 Tudor. My wood was intact but not in good shape.I made new top bows and side rails from the originals for patterns, but the header was too far gone.I purchased a repro header; it fit pretty good and was about to replace the top when I chickened out and just purchased an entire wood kit.It fit MUCH better than my homemade pieces, which I gave to another restorer for his car.

I'd looked for 25 years for patterns; I guess the only people that have them have made them from good original samples and don't want to sell those patterns.

But who knows? You may find 'em if you keep lookin'.But it takes a lot of time and craftmanship to do as good a job as the kits that are being sold.
