Hot Dash Light

Hello All.On my '29 Town Sedan, I've noticed that the dash light gets extremely hot when turned on, almost too hot to touch.It's got a #63 bulb in it (is that 3 or 6 c.p.?)I wouldn't think that it should get that hot.Is that just the way they are, or do I have a problem?
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
