: Hello,

: I have laced my frame with webbing material and have bolted down the Splash shields. What goes under the splash shields where the body bolts go through the side mounted frame brackets? The webbing material holds the splash shields up and away from the side mounted Frame mounts by a thickness of the webbing material! Should I use a rubber spacer between the mount and the shield, I know I will be putting a rubber pad on the bottom of the body blocks which will ride on the top of the shields, but should the shield be suspended between two pieces of rubber? Funny, the shields seem to fit better that way!

: This is a confusing question but I'm not sure I could describe it any better!

: Thanks

: Dean

The original frame webbing was thinner (1/16") than most reproduction webbings, so that's why there is more gap between the splashshield and the frame bracket. Cut a piece of webbing and put it between the shield and bracket and that should solve that problem. There should also be a strip of webbing between the running boards and brackets. You may have to put more than one layer of rubber between the body blocks and the splashshields to help align the doors and the hood, but that's a whole 'nother matter.Good luck1!
