:A recent article in THE RESTORER suggested that you would have a better running Model A engine by increasing the spark plug gap to .040.It would be smoother and give a better idle.I have always thought that .035 was the correct gap.Any opinions on this subject out there in Model A land? I think the contents of the article are basically correct.However, larger gap could cause a performance problem at high speeds, but like the "Fool" (Mike Flanagan) says, God speed under 50.
