I agree with Bob to a certain point.These are still available and have been under the names, Gabriel and Scale Model.Parts are interchangeable, however, the original Hubley is worth more and to those who race Hubleys at National and Regional meets (much like the pinewood derbys at Cub Scouts), the original Hubleys tires/wheels are superior.
I refused to pay $25 at an antique store for an original Hubley that was assembled but missing the headlights.Later I went back and it had sold.Seems like I've seen the unassembled kits Hubley kits for twice the price of the latest Scale Model kits.
