Ouch!I hate when that happens.I see that you have gotten some good advice already.If you have access to some prior issues of the Restore or Model "A" News I recall seeing articles on how to remove these studs.The trick is to build up the broken stud with weld and then attaching a nut to the built up stud so you can get a wrench on it.Usually the heat generated by the welding process will free up the rust and out comes the bolt.

There is another with, but usually it's only an option when the motor is being rebuilt.That method is called EDM (Electric Discharge Machining)EDM is basically a reverse process of electric welding.By the time your finished the stud is entirely gone, with maybe the exception of the threads, which can be removed with a pick.I had a stud removed this way and it was interesting just to watch.
