: Has anyone else had this problem: when the black steering wheel in my '29 coupe gets wet....like condensation in the morning in cool weather...it "sweats" black sticky moisture.
: Does anyone know what would stop this?Or what might cause it?

I had the same problem on my Station Wagon.I got tired of it after many years of black hands in the morining while on tour. The solution that worked for me was to place a coat of spar varnish on the steering wheel.I used the same material that I use for the wood on my wagon.I had used a marine spar varnish but the last time the wagon was refinished my local paint store recommended an "Old Masters" product called "Poly Plastic".It is a spar varnish with tung oil.It worked great on the exterior and on the steering wheel. It has held up for over 6 years.
