I don't know how much of an expert I am but I do have an opinion on most everything, including Model A's and Hot Rodders... that's probably enough of that... Like the man said if you don't have something good to say....

Paul is right, a lot of work just to un-do the damage that has already been done. And the parts that you know are missing is usually just the tip of the iceberg. Once you start to build the car that's when you begin to realize what is and is not there. Shocks????, etc. Better to get a "great ol big" piece of steel wool and knit yourself a PU.

Look in the Hemmings, quite often there are ads for pickup bodies, particularly from a dealer in Colorado. I do not believe there is anyone in the hobby that wants a PU more than myself... and I wouldn't even consider the mess you describe, at any price.

Like the line in the song, "Just walk on by...."

Once again, other than that I really have no opinion on the subject.

: I've run across an oportunity to by some 1930 Model A pickup
: body parts.I need some idea from those of you with more experince as to what these parts might be worth as the seller and I are quite aways apart in our negotiations pricewise.
: I've enclosed below the owner's description of the parts.

:1930 Model A Pickup parts.
: Cab with doors and all glass.Windshield and door glass is not
: original.Cab is in average shape.

: Truck was a street rod back in
: 1971-73.The original frame broke and truck was dismantled.

: Cab had some rust but has now been filled.Firewall has been cut and is
: now aluminum diamond plate.Roof of cab has been filled in with
: fiberglass.

: Doors are nice, had some rust on bottom
: lip, but have been fixed.

: Hood is perfect as well as the radiator & stainless shroud.

: Front fenders are in average shape.Passenger side fender has had the
: spare tire cup filled.

: Headlight assembly is there and decent.

: Other misc parts such as emergency brake lever, etc.

: Have no box, rear fenders, frame or drivetrain.

: I'm hoping that several of you veterans (Model A Fool, etc) will venture an opinion as to the value of these parts.
