: Thanks to Mike "Godspeed" Flanagan and Jim Mason on my '29 Tudor queries.I have yet another! How much leakage might be considered normal from the Zenith carb, both at rest and running?Mine has been carefully overhauled, but still seems to leak more than I like around the adjusting needle housing area.Normal, or ?(At rest, I have the shutoff valve closed, but it still leaks for a while. Also, I installed the better Grose-jet.)

: Thanks folks!

Malcolm,
Leaking anywhere on the carb is not normal. You have probably corrected the most common leak (float valve) by installing the Grose-jet.I would make sure the float level is correct. And check for hairline cracks in the casting near the area of the adjusting needle.Have fun!
Paul
