: ently the Towe Ford Museum is soon to join the Model A in history. The entire rolling stock of the collection will be auctioned off on Sept 13 (Sacramento, CA) and Sept 20 (Deer Lodge, MT).

: : : As a frequent visitor this saddens me however if you are looking for a car and you "gots the bucks" I'm sure you'll find what you want. The auctions are handled by Kruse and you can access at www.kruseinternational.com.

: : : There is a Town Car at the Sac location and some really neat pre-Model T Ford cars.

: : : In 1996 we visited Sacramento in the '31 Town Sedan and recieved quite a reception. Wish I could visit one more time... but times the problem, I got the time but not the money.

: : : God speed under 50.

: : : Mike Flanagan, The Model A Fool.

: : Anyone needs a proxy for the Auction in Sac I have the time the trailer and the inclination. Would do it for expenses.

: : That's why they call me the Model A Fool.

: : Mike Flanagan.

: The real problem with the museum was the IRS.Mr. Towe did not pay taxes and now the feds want him to pay up and the only way to do that was to sieze the cars and sell them. The museum entity will apparently go on but with borrowed vehicles.I hope to place my 28 pu there when they get done with the sale.

I have no personal knowledge of Mr. Towe's business but I can attest to the fact that the IRS has no sense of humor when it comes to money owed, either actual or percieved. Now I'm probably in trouble again....
