Installing Windshield Stanchions

I am trying to restore my 1930 roadster. (Grayline tours car, my Grand fathers) I cannot locate the correct location to install window stanchions and windshield frameing that attaches to the cowling and under dash support. I have the corect parts?! Are there any Mags or restores books devoted to this topic..or first hand advise...
