Shaun; It depends on what you mean by "produced". Ford had Assembly plants all over the U.S. and many overseas. Most of the parts were produced in the U.S.There were some engine made in Canada and England (English engines had a smaller displacement). There were several assembly plants in Latin America, Buenos Aires, Mexico City and Sao Paulo. The Phaeton was second to the Tudor in Foreign production. Also a larger number of the foreign Phaetons went to Latin America as compared to Europe (most likely because of the climate). The yearly totals for Phaetons (foreign production) are 1927 0 units I could only find individual production figures for 1928 Phaetons Buenos Aires2000 units This information is found in "Henry's Fabulous Model A" by Floyd Clymer. |
