: How many were produced in 1930 and what makes it different? Volume 5 of How to Restore your Model A puts production of the Town Car (both 140 A & B) at 1,198 units or .02% of the production run. The difference is the body style; closed passenger compartment and open driver (front seat). If you have the bucks there will be a 140 B in the auction of the stock of the Towe Ford Museum in Sacramento, CA on Sept 13. Check the ad in the Aug Hemmings under events. A sad day for Ford fans when this collection is broken up. Business used to take me to Sacramento frequently and coincidently I was always delayed exactly enough time to visit this great exhibit. Sadly no more. God speed under 50. Mike Flanagan, The Model A Fool. |
