: My 31 A has a Simmons Swan intake manifold. It is a single carb, updraft, log style manifold. My question is, what is the significance of it? What was its claim to fame? The carb on it is stock. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
Charlie,
See "the Restorer" Nov/Dec 1995 article by Steve Pargeter and Dick Punchard. There is a little information there about that manifold.By the way, I run a Simmons carb. on one of my cars. The idling is unbelievable.
Have fun!
Paul
