: : I've got an exhaust leak at the clamp tying the muffler pipe to the manifold. Are there any secrets as to who has the best replacement clamp, how it should possibly be modified or augmented, etc. I already have the pipe inside the pipe.

: I noticed in the last Bratton parts book that he is advertising a high temperature sealant material to put in the joint of the tailpipe and the manifold.I haven't tried it yet but it might be the answer since you have already tried the pipe inside. The Clamp may also be too worn to pull the two pieces together. .....Dave
Al,
The sealant that Brattons is selling works. I have used it twice now in conjunction with the pipe inside the exhaust. You'll need to let it harden for about four hours before starting the engine. Just drop the the exhaust pipe enough to get a bead of sealant on the joint and return the pipe to its position and tighten the clamp.
