: Something strange here.Model B Fords were not made until 1932. A 1929 Ford would be a Model A.Could this be a 1929 Model A with a Model B engine. If the engine has the original engine number (Many rebuilt engine have restamped engine numbers at the time of rebuild), then the number should start with an A for a Model A or a B for a Model B. Note that commercial vehicles started with AA or BB. It is harder to tell the year of a truck than passenger cars. This is because Ford often used up left over part from previous years on the truck. So you could have a 1932 with 1931 parts. Also the truck usually lagged behind in style changes. What kind of a truck is it ? (pickup, dump, flatbed ).If it is truely complete and restorable then $800 is not too much, it is hard to say without seeing it or have much more information. So to answer your question. If it is a Model B there are many parts from a Model A that could be used.

Bob,
I have to disagree with you on the interchangeability of the parts.Model B trucks and cars are a whole different animal than a Model A.Granted the engine block is very similar in that it can be used in a Model A and has been on lots of occasions because of the larger crankshaft journals, better oiling system etc.But the frame, body parts, drive train engine mounting are all different.I have a '30 pickup and a friend has a '32 B pickup and there are many differences in the designs. As you say though, $800 is not too much for a restorable B pickup and this is a nice desirable truck in my book.
